This document is the result of a process of collective construction by our organizations; the Council of Indigenous Organizations of Jujuy (
Consejo de Organizaciones Aborígenes de Jujuy); the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia – Council of Women, Family and Generation (
Organización Nacional Indígena de Colombia – Consejería de Mujer, Familia y Generación); the Mixe People’s Services (
Servicios del Pueblo Mixe), Lawyers for Justice and Human Rights (
Abogadas y Abogados para la Justicia y los Derechos Humanos) and Quebec Native Women (
Femmes Autochtones du Québec)1; carried out as part of a project entitled “Ethnic and Gender Discrimination in the Americas: the Case of Indigenous Women”. Its objectives were: to produce Inter American jurisprudence in favour of indigenous women, to help strengthen them as protagonists of this process and to build a conceptual and methodological framework to combat double discrimination, considering, above all, their own voices and viewpoints.
